The address is: 19 Upper Mall, London W6 9TA This is a must-visit, a lovely pub by the river, it is about 25 mins walk but on a nice day I highly recommend a walk by the river, you can stop by the Dove and continue towards this lovely little Italian outdoor cafe. It takes you by the river and next to beautiful old houses overlooking the Thames " But The Dove isn’t a monument to history – it’s a thriving and much-loved London pub catering for locals and visitors alike. Owned by Fullers since 1796, our current regulars come back for exactly the same reason as Charles II did – the outstanding real ales, fine wines and delicious food."

A public house has stood on this site since the seventeenth century. The poet James Thomson composed the familiar strains of ‘Rule Britannia’ and Charles II romanced and dined his mistress Nell Gwynne here

The front bar of the pub is listed in the Guinness book of Records as the smallest public bar in the United Kingdom. The Dove dates from the early 18th century. A number of historical figures have been associated with the pub beside the River Thames. Among these are Graham Greene, Ernest Hemingway, Dylan Thomas and William Morris who lived next door. James Thompson is said to have written the words for the 1740 song Rule, Britannia! there. A lovely cosy pub around the corner - when inside you feel like you're in a ship, all the walls are wood panelled and they have lots of board games and a great selection of ales.
