Amazing old and iconic store, the most amazing array of everything! Clothes, housewares,books, hats, signs, games, you name it, you'll find it! It is also the only general store left in California with a full bar in it!

Fun. Quirky, a little over the top with a bit of local history. This is a fun place to stop if you head south down the coast and go inland. They also have live local music during the day. You can also get postcards with fun or irreverent messages.

The San Gregorio General Store continues its long life as a small-town general store, but on Friday evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon forward it attracts some of the best bands of the rich and diverse music community on the Coastside. The emphasis is on acoustic music in a casual environment. As an accommodation to Covid, most performances are now outside in front of the General Store. Go south on Highway 1 through some beautiful country. Turn left onto Hwy 84 for a mile or two into the Town of San Gregorio, and left again at the intersection with Stage Road. About 18 miles/30 minutes South.

If you're on your way out to the coast this is an interesting, quick stop. It's a quirky little historic store with souvenirs, books, local food items, and a bar that occasionally has live music.
