If you want to get fit, there is a nice gym with group classes, a pool and all the free weights and machines you could ask for.

If you're a Gold's Gym member and your membership lets you visit other gyms, this is the closest location. It's part of the Glendale Galleria mall. Park on Bi-4 (pink) level and walk in. If you're not a member, they may offer day passes. I don't know.
