Fun area of Asheville with lots of bars and restaurants. Very crowded, but a great place to stop!

West Asheville (WAVL), while less crowded than downtown, is still very lively and has a hip, edgy feel. Packed with amazing restaurants and cafes, WAVL is a must visit neighborhood for young (or young at heart) travelers.

West Asheville has a unique blend of locally-owned restaurants, shops, parks, and sights to see! With colorful murals on the buildings, and locals walking the streets, you can't go wrong with a visit to Haywood Street.
