The USS Nautilus is the first nuclear powered submarine built right in Groton, CT; it was also the first submarine to fully traverse the North Pole under the polar ice cap. If you have a hankering for Naval history, this is the place for you. Parking and admission to the submarine are free, and you will take a self guided tour using an audio wand as your guide.

Located in the Submarine Capitol of the World, the USS Nautilus was the first Nuclear Sub employed by the U.S. Navy. And it's free!
