One of the best food festivals in the UK. Runs in the 2nd or 3rd weekend of September. You'll need to buy wristbands in advance to access most areas but you can turn up on the day and access stalls on the high street. It does get very busy in Abergavenny during the weekend of the food festival.
Every year in the third week of September Abergavenny Food Festival is the event of the year. A multitude of food stalls, celebrity chefs, and plenty of beer, cider and perry, with a party in the park
Abergavenny Food Festival enjoys an exceptional reputation as a place for chefs, food businesses, journalists, farmers and food producers to come together. It is known for being an inclusive and welcoming event, delivering a delicious opportunity for people from all walks of life to explore and learn about food. There us an extensive programme of activities, including product tastings, kids’ activities, masterclasses, hands-on cookery lessons and topical debates.
