Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

The guest house located at an elevation of about 2500ft in Rokko area of Seto Inland Sea National Park. Unfortunately, there is no veiw from the guest house, but you can enjoy the private space. 小豆島町の静かな海辺に建つ一軒家です。 海と夕陽を眺めて黄昏れる為だけに建てた家です。その為テラスの階段の段数が多く大変申し訳ございませんが決してバリアフリーとは呼べません。（荷物のお手伝い等出来るだけのことは対応させていただきます） ですが、高いテラスを登った先には瀬戸内のキラキラ輝く穏やかできれいな海と毎日顔を変える茜色の夕空が待っています。 是非、時間を忘れ非日常をご堪能ください。 ※現在ペットのご宿泊をストップさせていただいております。 ご希望の方はご予約前にお問い合わせ下さい。 室内にはテラスの階段を登って入ります。バリアフリーではありません。 小さなお子様か階段を登り降りする際は必ず大人の方がお付き添いください。 また、雨の日は階段が多い為ご不便をかけるかもしれません。 宿前の道路は舗装されていません。 ご不便をかけるかもしれませんが、ご了承下さい。 宿の周りは自然が多いため、どうしても虫がでます。窓や扉の開閉時に虫が一緒に入ることがあります。（特に夜は宿の明かりに虫が集まります）大変申し訳ございませんが、虫が苦手な方は宿泊をご遠慮ください。
