Homestay in the land of last samurai！

It is a home stay at a private house in a quiet residential area. An artist in her 60's and two cats live in a Japanses style house. You are wellcomed as a member of the family, so we can cook and chat together. If you like, I can help you with sightseeing, kimono dressing and instract creating Japanse Paper art. You can enjoy the snowy landscape and natural hot spring in Winter too. If you can cook together, breakfast will be served. I hope you can have an unique stay in Japan.

The perfect house for those looking for a bit of quiet and time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. “Asahi” was originally a “Minka,” a traditional Japanese folk house, which we remodeled a few years ago. “Asahi” is one out of three houses on our property and as we rent “Asahi” in its entirety, you’ll be able to enjoy the comforts of your own privacy. The house is comfortable for two but can easily accommodate up to four guests.

Modern Ski Chalet, Togakushi, walk to restaurants

Renovated to be open, modern and spacious our chalet is only 20 minutes drive from Nagano City, Togakushi and Iizuna ski resorts. It is less than 5 minutes walk to many cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter.

“Maison d’hotes KIRISI MIZU”, is a Irimoya style (traditional Japanese house, similar to Temple) that has been beautifully restored from traditional materials and passed down from my grate-grand parents generation. The entire house is done in a classic style as used to be, except for a newly built kitchen, toilet and bathroom that provide all the necessities of modern life.
