We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Cozy alpine guesthouse cabins with in-house natural hotspring baths in the forested highlands of Japan's epic 3000m Nagano Alps, offering the closest possible accommodation to the "Roof of Japan" - the Alpine Route and Takase hiking treks. Hakuba ski resorts start 15 minutes away. We also have a compact music studio in the main lodge with guitars, bass, keyboard and electronic drum kit - suitable for a small group of musicians with space for 3 to 4 players and 6 to 8 intimate audience seats.

Our place is located near by a quiet forest in the area of National Park, and you will see the panoramatic view of Mt.Myoko and Mt.Kurohime from here. There are numerous hot springs and the famous tourist spots which are called Imori Pond and Naena Falls that are representing Myokokogen. Also, there are many unique ski resorts that are rich in density so you’ll be able to have a lot choice for your winter activities depends on your mood and the snow conditions of the day.

Villa Nozawa, spacious family room with ensuite

This room has delightful views of the valley and surrounding Japanese Alps and has western bedding in a Japanese Tatami room. It is a great option for families with the bunks, double bed and your own private enuite. We are just 100M from the slopes and 50m from the closest natural hot water onsen. There are newly renovated share bathrooms for you to use as well and the option to use any of the 13 public Onsens in town.
