Hanatsu means 'let go'. We designed this place so you can relax and let go in the busy-ness of travel through the ideal of "shibui" (subdued and simple). Here we are proud to offer the feeling of Japan in a comfortable private whole house; the beauty of tatami, earthen walls, sliding doors, tile and washi (Japanese paper). The Uno port ferry is 3 min by nearby train (14 by EA bike) so we serve as an ideal gateway to the Inland Sea islands, including of course Naoshima, Teshima and Inujima.

It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. Our stay facility is a traditional Japanese style house and you will stay in the main building. One day one group and possible to stay up to 4 people. It is possible to stay with your dog. (However, in the tatami room, we will ask you to put he/she in a cage.)
