It's the original home on this 60 acre farm, which produced sugarcane, dairy products, and eggs; now it is a gentleman's horse, cattle, and chicken ranch. There is a fishing pond, paths, deer, geese, wild turkeys, fox, herons, squirrels, and songbirds. Country living five minutes from downtown Forest City, 25 minutes from Tryon International Equestrian Center, one hour from Asheville and Charlotte.

We warmly invite you to our humble 1972 A-frame cabin in the foothills of the Carolina mountains. Located two miles to downtown on a paved road, access is easy. It’s at the edge of a neighborhood but feels private. As dog lovers, we welcome dogs, but expect it to be as if they were never there. We love staying here and hope you will, too. Please note: After Helene and other storms, the landscape around the creek has changed.
