My place is close to beaches, bush and the famous Motu cycle way. You’ll love my place because of the friendly welcome, the little extras AND the comfy bed!! Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.

Only 400 metres walk to main beach access, good fishing with Surfcasting or Kontiki fishing or maybe take a stroll or relax and enjoy this lovely beach. 7 minutes drive to shopping, supermarket. Our guesthouse is perfectly located at Ohope Beach between Ohiwa Harbour and the South Pacific Ocean - less that 1 minute walk to each. You can hear the ocean while lying in bed :) 'The DogBox' got its name when my dog Cooper (RIP) refused to come into our new house when we built it, preferring to sleep in the guesthouse.
