For the outdoor enthusiasts Helderberg provide trails for hiking and mtbiking and our dam covers swimming, rowing and sundowners.

Enjoy amazing birdlife, tranquility and beautiful walks. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but only 5 minutes to stunning beaches, 10 minutes from Plett , the Crags, Plett Winelands and a host of amazing wildlife places! With so much to keep you busy locally, it is a treat to come back to the Hideaway and feel away from it all!

From the outdoor shower to the secluded fire pit, you’ll find many magical touches. As for the views from bed & hot tub, you might never want to get out!

the forest chalet - Sondagskloof

Built from Larch & Spruce cured to a dark finish, this secluded one bed-roomed chalet blends into the surrounding Poplar forest nestled next to a running stream. A King size bed, a luxurious bathroom with sliding door onto deck for a indoor/outdoor shower experience. The living-room/ kitchen is stylishly furnished & is fully equipped, with under counter fridge & gas hob, and a wood burning fireplace. Big picture windows & sliding doors open onto the deck, drawing the peaceful forest inside.

Heidi’s Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

Dassieshoek - Ou Skool

Situated in the mountains of Robertson, this double volume, beautifully restored Old School is a tranquil getaway for the whole family. There is a gorgeous eco pool and plenty of amenities for children. Located next to the Marloth Nature Reserve, the house is at the beginning of the Arangieskop Hiking Trail. Mountain biking, hiking, birding and river and dam access mean that there are plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family.

The location is incredible, luxurious and right in front of the wave. The property has everything necessary for a comfortable stay for 2 people, fully self-catering with office / studio. Wow! Private Wood fire hot tub with a breathtaking sea view. Schwinn Cruiser bicycles to explore the town. Very important: Guests with no reviews need to send a request and not book instantly. A secluded rustic space, Hidden Leaf Cabin 1 is situated amongst trees and nature in Wilderness on the Garden Route. A comfortable and private set up which enables you to fully relax and detach from the outside world. Enjoy a long soak in the outdoor bathtub and sit around the fire pit come evening. You wont want to leave this beautifully unique and private space in the heart of nature.

Smitten Guest Cottage.

Smitten Guest Cottages is situated just outside the quant village of Bonnievale boasting beautiful views of the Langeberg Mountains. This cottage accommodates 4 people in 2 bedrooms, and offers an indoor Fireplace, Wood fired Hot Tub, built in Braai on the verandah as well as a firepit.
