Underground Hobbit Home in the deep forest

Our custom-built Hobbit Home is nestled under the forest floor on a 10 acre site. A bench swing adorns the hillside along the huge boulder fire pit and outdoor picnic area. The inside of the 185 sq.ft. structure is one-of-a-kind, with a Poplar tree bark ceiling, wavy cedar walls, and a wood cookie wall. A queen sized bed with linens and pillows comfortably sleeps two, and a comfy pull out couch can sleep two children under 12 or one teen or adult. A wood stove makes it cozy in the cold months.

Executive, cozy one bedroom, one bath, lower unit apartment. Full kitchen and full bathroom, with washer/dryer combo. Private entrance and private patio. Comfy queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room. Wi-Fi and cable channels available. Located in a safe, quiet, wooded, country neighborhood close to Grand Haven, and Holland, with access to many parks, beaches, and golf courses. We are conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Grand rapids, 5 miles from Grandvalley State university and 30 miles from the lake Michigan shoreline. Nestled in a small cove on a large lake, this lakefront cottage includes a 20' pontoon, 2 kayaks, paddle boat and dock from May through October (weather permitting). It has a private beach and 66' of shoreline. Plus an elevated front deck; side patio; bonfire pit and gas BBQ grill. Swan Cottage has 2 large bedrooms (plus twin daybed in semi-private nook); 1 bathroom; and driveway parking. It is dog friendly, however, the yard is not fenced.

Intimate & inviting this space is peaceful and rejuvenating. Positioned next to the garden & the edge of the yard. The slider opens to your covered patio that’s tucked in the woods for a private secluded feel. Sit around the fire pit while taking in the birds and farm animal noises. The shared compostable toilet is just a short walk away. There is also one full size bed & a twin trundle beneath it.
