This villa is part of a mini nature resort, Quinta dos Carqueijais, on the Caniçada dam. The villa's surroundings are the treetops. The feeling of being surrounded by its branches is due to the fact that it is built into the mountain. The large windows that flank the entire house turn the high branches into natural neighbours, were they not the original residents of Gerês.
