Built in 1958, updated in 2019, Cypress Cove Cottage on Kerr Lake is a place to relax, have a refreshing swim, and view stunning sunsets. Originally a summer home, called Sunnyside, the cottage was winterized for a year-round retreat. Bald cypress trees bookend the lakeshore of this unique property. The cottage is on a grassy lot sloping gently to the lake. There is a small dock to fish, swim and watch sunsets. Great spot for lake lifers, fisherfolk, couples, small families, business travelers.

The sunlit cottage is perfect place to enjoy the largest lake in Virginia, exploring nearby state parks, the quaint town of Clarksville, or nearby breweries/wineries. The cottage offers an open view of the lake and use of a dock (150 yds from house) for fishing, swiming, docking watercraft or watching the sunset. A great retreat for a small family of 4 or 2 couples. Please indicate the number of guests; parties over 4 must be pre-approved. Reservation must be by an adult (age 21+).

The Mural Suite, An Artsy One Bedroom in Durham

A mural filled one bedroom suite with a full bath and kitchenette attached to our house with its own separate entrance. Located less than 5 minutes by car to downtown Durham with easy access for those who prefer to travel by bicycle or foot to the Ellerbee Creek trail. Centrally located to Duke University and Duke Medical. Perfect for longer stays for visiting professionals as well as shorter stays to enjoy all Durham has to offer.

Bracey Historic Train Depot

Want to step back in time to the late 1800's? Staying at the historic Bracey Train Depot will give you that experience and more. The Depot is among one of the surviving buildings with the old post office across the street, the general store next door and landmarks. This section of Bracey Drive is at times secluded, just around the 'cut' and a half mile from I-85.

This is a two bedroom two bathroom house, but only one bedroom is being offered. If you rent you get the entire house to yourself. The other bedroom will be locked at all times. It is a huge house with plenty of space and fully stocked kitchen with dishes, cookware appliancesvery nice dining room queen size bed being offered with walk-in shower in the bathroom.
