It feels as though we’re walking at the edge of the world: the contrast of blue sea, craggy coast, gorse bushes & wildflowers is transfixing. The kids love it too. Cancleave has been in our family since 1962. During the winter of 2020/21 it underwent a complete reconstruction to create a modern, energy-efficient and supremely comfortable retreat. Nestled on the coast road between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay, the property occupies around half an acre of lawned garden bordering the South West Coast Path. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views across Bude Bay as far as Lundy Island, as well as inland vistas stretching all the way to Dartmoor.

Easy walk to the village, shops. cafes, restaurants and pubs. Also The Old Post Office, King Arthurs castle, stunning cliff and valley walks. And surfing beaches a short drive away. Local host with an abundance of local knowledge. The Castle can be accessed on foot or a land rover service operates up and down the hill for the less mobile. The castle can also be seen by walking the flat path behind the church. King Arthur’s Halls of Chivalry are worth a visit with its stunning round table.

There are pubs, shops and restaurants in Tintagel along with the historic castle with stunning new bridge. Port Isaac, Boscastle, Bude, Padstow and Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the location, the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
