Great place 5 min walk from the house. The Brackenbury Wine Rooms is in fact a cafe/delicatessen/restaurant. The café part opens at 7.30am (great if you have kids who wake up early) and they have a kids menu. The food is nice, tables outside when the weather is nice

If you love fish & chips, you shouldn't be disappointed by Kerbisher & Malt, at least we weren't last time we went. It was voted Best Contemporary Fish & Shop by ESQUIRE magazine when they launched a few years back and hopefully the standards are still the same.

I'm a massive fan of Aussie Chef Bill Granger and I love going for a brunch at Granger & Co in Notting Hill. Aim to go there early as there is always a queue and after brunch, wander around Westbourne Grove where you will find lots of cool fashion shops

There is a quintessentially boho organic café within the nursery so you can have your cake and eat it surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. Far from all the same high-street stores we see around the world, this place is very unique and worth the trip especially from Spring. Richmond is nice too, very leafy

Walk to Shepherd's Bush tube station & take the Central line and get off at St Paul's. Then walk 13 min to the Tate.
The building is spectacular and the view of London from the top floor is fantastic.
There is an exhibition of Alberto Giacometti until 10th September 2017. From there, you can either walk to Borough Food market (open Monday to Saturday) or cross the bridge to St Paul's Cathedral. While you're in east London, you may as well wander around Bricklane & Shoreditch.

The building is spectacular and the view of London from the top floor is fantastic.
