Parks & Nature

There are a number of amazing hikes all over Table Mountain. My favourites are Skeleton Gorge and India Venster. The most touristy route is called Platterklip because it is the most direct up. I strongly suggest going up in the evening to watch the sunset and take the cable car down! It is well worth the view!

Cape Town and her surrounding coastline offers the visitor some wonderful beaches, but none are more interesting nor more beautiful than the Boulder’s Beach in Simon’s Town. This beach, with its wind sheltered bays and safe sandy shores, is home to a breeding colony of over 2000 endangered African Penguins. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area and an entrance fee is required to access these sandy shores that are home to the tuxedoed little bird. Strictly controlled access to this beach by the SANparks authority ensures that it is always clean and tidy and that the facilities are well maintained and spotless.

Food Scene

This is an awesome food and clothing market on Saturday mornings. Live Bands and great atmosphere... parking can be an issue so I would suggest using an uber.

Book months in advance to secure a rare dining experience. According to Dale-Roberts, the food philosophy at The Test Kitchen is deliberately unique: ‘I’m a non-conformist, something that has got me into a lot of trouble in the past. My vision for The Test Kitchen is to be original in every aspect of the experience. The central purpose of the restaurant is the exploration of flavor; I explore every facet of an ingredient, and that philosophy has remained central to the decisions we make in all areas of the restaurant.’ The chef, Luke-Dale Roberts is the best. One of the Top 20 restaurants in the world. If you don't have a booking then call and hope for a cancellation.

Another one of Cape Town most popular market attractions. Located in an abandoned factory and next to Hout Bay's fishing docks. This market is a vibe from Friday night market, Saturday & Sunday afternoons. Live music, cuisine from all ends of the globe, modern art, South Africa's finest cultural art. Entertainment & Activities

Be sure to visit the Constantia Wine Route during your stay. World class wines combined with beautiful scenery makes this a memorable day in Cape Town. Groot Constantia is one of the oldest farms in Cape Town and so is a must see, but also be sure to visit Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Constantia Glen, Eagle's Nest and Beau Constantia on your tour.

Everything Else

In the heart of Cape Town’s business district, you’ll find Greenmarket Square. The square has quite a reputation – it has been a slave market, a fruit and vegetable market and, during the 1950s, a humble parking lot. These days it’s just the place to look for clothing, glassware, hand-painted fabrics, footwear, music, sunglasses and curios from all over Cape Town and Africa. Greenmarket Square is more than a flea market – not only will you find a wide range of goods to buy, there is also entertainment in the form of buskers, mime artists and jugglers, especially on Saturday mornings and other busy times.
