Only a few miles away and they have great concert series in the summer, wine tasting and food events in addition to the entrance of the zoo.
I'm a sucker for zoos. My favorite exhibits at Woodland are the Tropical Rain Forest House and the Bug House
Seattle is lucky to have to have a wonderful zoo. We're a 10 minute drive away, so don't miss it.

“Gasworks Park has an amazing view of Seattle’s skyline, also the remains of an old gasification plant that ran from the early 1900’s to the mid 1900’s. There’s plenty of free parking and lots of places within the park for kids and adults to explore. Be sure to walk up the park’s hill where you’ll see a rose compass at the top.”

“ GREENLAKE - One of Seattle's most beloved neighborhoods enticing visitors with its vast array of activities. The expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city - a social gathering place surrounded by a multitude of amenities. The 3-mile path around the lake (just one block from house) provides a perfect recreational spot for walking, jogging, biking, and skating.”

“The Fremont Troll was made famous by the movie “Ten Things I Hate About You”. This massive troll lives under the Aurora Bridge in the Fremont District. He holds a an old VW Beetle in his left hand. In the area there’s shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. Although parking can be a little difficult it’s worth the short walk to see the troll under the bridge.”
