LOCATION The house is located in the village of Farsa, 10 km from Argostoli and more specifically, on the beautiful Limioni site on the outskirts of the village, sloping down towards the sea. Upon one’s arrival, the first thing that strikes one is the spectacular view. The house is situated on a hillside only 150 meters from the sea, overlooking the crystal blue waters and the gulfs of Lixouri and Argostoli. Geographically, Farsa is located strategically in the centre of the island, this being convenient for excursions to the beaches and many worthwhile attractions of the island. Thus, the visitor travels almost equal distances to all destinations:- Lixouri: 23 km / Sami: 28 km / Myrtos: 22 km / Fiskardo: 42 km / Skala: 42 km The house and its picturesque location ensure that your stay will be away from the hustle and bustle of the island’s capital yet, at the same time near enough to Argostoli and the social life of the island should you prefer. There is easy and direct access to the beach – a mere 150 meters walk to the rocky bay of Limioni and a 3-minute drive to the main beach of the village, Ligia. The “old village” of Farsa with it’s pre-seismic ruins, and breathtaking views is an outdoor history museum, being one of the better-preserved old villages on the island with a long sea-faring tradition and tales of piracy. A hike through the old village of Farsa may take two to three hours and you will get a taste of the old “pre-seismic” Kefalonia. It is said that it was here that Louis de Bernieres was inspired to write his famous novel, “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”. THE HOUSE The house is a double-storey of 80 sq.m. and has a large, 27sq.m. private patio with panoramic views of Lixouri and Argostoli and direct access to the garden. The house comprises a ground floor living room with open-plan kitchen/dining area, bathroom with shower, and closet. An internal staircase leads upstairs which consists of 2 bedrooms with double beds. Should one wish to use the two sleeper couches located in the living room, up to 6 persons can be accommodated. The house is ideal for families or groups of youths. It is fully furnished and equipped featuring: a kitchen with necessary utensils and household appliances; TV; Patio with pergola; Direct access to the garden; Air conditioning; Shared laundry facilities and Parking. THE HOSTS The hosts, my parents Dennis and Mary Papanikolatos and Dolly, a lovely and incredibly friendly dog, will be at your disposal for anything you need, always willing to help. We aim to make your stay so pleasant that you will want to return. We would like to welcome you and it will give us much pleasure to extend to you warm, genuine Greek hospitality. A special brochure, with information and suggestions for excursions, beaches and fine dining, designed and compiled by us with love and care, will be supplied to you on your arrival.

Anio Residence, a Coastal Retreat with Sea View Terrace

Discover a Mediterranean themed escape at this rustic designed modern home. The holiday retreat features wood furnishings and decor, blue hues throughout, contrasting motifs, and access to a communal garden with a BBQ. Just at the outskirts of the pretty hamlet of Svoronata, with views of Zante, the Ionian Sea and surrounding countryside, this charming, 50 sqm, 1st-floor residence, enjoys a tranquil location, very close to the airport, but quiet and perfect for a relaxing, romantic holiday for two or three. Sitting in an elevated position, it dominates splendid views from its' spacious terrace The private terrace of 45 sqm, located just in front of the apartment and the lovely garden underneath, with its' barbeque, create a wonderful setting for breakfast, coffee or meals. Although it is built in the common garden of the hosts’ permanent residence at the ground floor, it stands at the whole 1st floor itself, which is autonomous and shields guests from the house beneath it and there are no immediate neighbors overlooking the property. Patio doors allow plenty of light to flood into the open plan lounge with a sofa-double bed, dining and kitchen area. The comfortable double bedroom, with a king size bed, also has patio doors out to the furnished terrace at the front of the property. A bathroom is located two steps across the bedroom door, together with a kitchen with all the necessary utensils. The lovely garden at the ground floor and the barbeque are in common use with the hosts. The terrace of the 1st floor is private, for guests' use only. The hosts are everyday willing to help you spend unforgettable holidays. Their permanent residence is located at the ground floor. They moved to the island of Kefalonia in 2006. George is an Electrical Engineer. He likes the countryside, windsurfing, sailing and tennis. Sofia is working. She likes cooking, paragliding, excursions and traveling. They have two children. The house is 8 kilometers away from the capital of the island, Argostoli, and only 1 kilometer from the airport and the sea. A short 5-10 minute drive away are several of the island's most famous beaches, Ammes, Avithos, Ai Helis, Makris Gialos and Platis Gialos. They are located two to five kilometers away from this lovely residence. There are also markets, taverns, and shops nearby. A welcome basket of fresh fruits, juice, as well as a bottle of wine, will be offered to the guests upon their arrival.

The house itself is exceptionally finished in neutral tones throughout with high end furniture and is designed around 2 levels. The ground floor area comprises a large open plan lounge, fully fitted Italian kitchen with breakfast bar & dining area, and a WC. A feature spiral staircase leads to the first floor, where there is located a small office/desk area to the landing. There are 2 double bedrooms on this 1st floor, serviced by a family bathroom and benefiting from large wardrobe fittings.

Our beautiful cottage is located in the main road from Argostóli to Poros, and only 20 minutes from Argostoli, the islands capital. Some of the highlights include the lovely/large patio and garden, private parking space, wood/brick oven, barbecue, treehouse, hammock and incredible view for your ultimate relaxation. The nearest beach is Lourdas beach (6-7 minutes by car). Everyone is welcome to stay at our home and we look forward to hearing from you! :) P.S. There are cats in the garden 🐈
