The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Escape to nature in a unique way with our secluded, forest getaway. Nestled in the heart of an indigenous forest in the Garden Route, our dome offers a perfect blend of luxury and wilderness. Our Dome is beautifully designed for comfort, with the indulgent outdoor living space blending seamlessly with nature encouraging guests to reconnect, relax and rejuvenate. As much as we would love to welcome all, the setting isn't child friendly and definitely offers a more wonderful getaway for two.

Off-the-grid stone cottage in the Little Karoo

Off grid cottage set in the heart of the Little Karoo within the Touwsberg Nature and Game Reserve. The reserve is well known for it's biodiverse fauna and flora and stunning scenery. Located off Route 62, midway between Barrydale and Ladismith, accessible with an average car/sedan, that has at least 17cm off ground clearance. The Cottage is well equipped, with indoor fireplace, cosy and completely private - the perfect Winter stay. Note: cell/3G reception requires a 2 minute walk; no wifi.

Cape Point Mountain Getaway - Cottage

This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

Hillandale Hideaway - a modern cabin near Plett

The Hideaway at Hillandale is a modern and totally off grid cabin tucked away in the forest with complete privacy and spectacular forest and mountain views! Enjoy amazing birdlife, tranquility and beautiful walks. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but only 5 minutes to stunning beaches, 10 minutes from Plett , the Crags, Plett Winelands and a host of amazing wildlife places! With so much to keep you busy locally, it is a treat to come back to the Hideaway and feel away from it all!

Waterwood's Isolated Tent, for the bush lover recluse. This remote tent will appeal to the avid nature adventurer. Enjoy the freedom of the bush whether on foot or mountain bike. Relax on the deck or sit around the fire pit while watching the game drift by. Solar powered lights, and a hot shower are a few of your limited comforts, as a bush lover enthusiast. Covid 19 response, all our staff are vaccinated and the Tent is completely isolated. There is no contact with any other guests.

Surrounded by the magic Outeniqua mountains and fynbos, we welcome you to our little slice of wilderness bliss! Our dream for the land is to create a sustainable home and restore this stunning piece of African earth, to live simply and respect nature. We are in the process of rehabilitating our land. We wish to share this wonderful place, its STUNNING views & gardens with like-minded people & travellers and encourage you to explore the beauty that surrounds us here in the Garden Route.

Backup power supply. 4.4m x 2.4m heated pool. The house is set in a dramatic location perched 60m above the ocean, with endless ocean views. Set in a 94 hectare private , safe reserve, walks and hikes from the front door, come and experience nature in luxury. Whales/Dolphins/wildlife/ stars! 24 hour security 15 minutes to George Mall, 20km from George Airport. The house has 180 degree views over the Ocean, with fresh clean air and the sound of the ocean below.

Klipkop High Mountain Stone Cottage

The farm's fourth cottage is built of rock between two boulders. The interior is very comfortably furnished with ceder-clad walls and ceder floors, two comfortable 3/4 beds, a fireplace, kitchenette and a bathroom clad in rock with sliding doors opening onto the landscape. The cottage faces north with a view of Sneeuberg. There is a large sliding door opening onto the patio with a retractable awning and a braai to enjoy the extraordinary views in every direction.

Dassieshoek - Ou Skool

Situated in the mountains of Robertson, this double volume, beautifully restored Old School is a tranquil getaway for the whole family. There is a gorgeous eco pool and plenty of amenities for children. Located next to the Marloth Nature Reserve, the house is at the beginning of the Arangieskop Hiking Trail. Mountain biking, hiking, birding and river and dam access mean that there are plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family.

Whether you are relaxing under vast oaks or at the plunge pool and watching the sunset turn the mountains pink or are an early bird and watching the sun rise behind cheeky, pointed Botmanskop, there are moments aplenty to ooh and aah at the majesty that surrounds this very special place.
