The perfect romantic retreat, Swallows Rest, is a converted 18th century hay barn. Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. Our cedarwood lodge has been designed and built for our family and friends to use when they visit. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Annan, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland Barn - 2 Bed

Watchhall Annexe is a recently converted barn, situated on the edge of the Royal Burgh Town of Annan. Attached to Watchhall House, it overlooks the Solway Firth and has views of the Lake District hills. It is within a 10-minute drive of the M6/M74 corridor on the Scottish-England border at Gretna. The area boasts lots of lovely places to eat and relax. Ideal for walking and cycling. Gretna Gateway Outlet Village and famous wedding venue is just a 10-minute drive away.

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

It is a perfect cosy getaway for those wanting to explore the Lakes, Hadrian's Wall and other highlights of this beautiful county. It is a great base to sample the many delights Cumbria has to offer.
