Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

Listed Historic waterside - sleeps 14

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.

We are located in the quiet, rural area of the Rusland Valley within driving distance of all scenic areas including Grizedale, Coniston, Ambleside & Windermere, and are surrounded by fields and woodland providing a fantastic location for cycling and walking holidays.
