One of the most iconic views in Colorado, the Garden of the Gods Park is a must-see for any visitor to the Front Range. In the shadows of Pikes Peak, massive red rocks rise up out of the ground providing a layered view that can't be beat. This one is perfect for visitors of any athletic ability. Not only is it at a relatively low altitude (by Colorado standards) of 6,300 feet, there's also a paved walking path that cuts through the park, as well as a road that wraps around the largest features. This makes the stunning beauty of the Garden of the Gods accessible to all.

Colorado's oldest ski hill, Howelson Hill is the perfect place to take an out-of-state beginner. The runs here are short, lift tickets are only $25, and there's a good amount of easy terrain. Plus, while it's peak elevation of 7,136 feet is probably more than a visitor might be used to, it's one of the lowest ski areas in the state. This means there's less of a chance your loved ones will be gasping for air.
