Sightseeing

The Brooklyn Bridge connects two great New York City boroughs: Manhattan and Brooklyn. You can walk it, drive it, bike it, or just admire it. The Brooklyn Bridge is a must-visit when traveling to Brooklyn. In fact, it's not just an enjoyable experience for tourists, many born-and-bred New Yorkers find themselves still charmed by the bridge. There's a dedicated pedestrian walkway on the Brooklyn Bridge, above the roaring car traffic, so it's a wonderful stroll.

If you love steak, you should not miss out on Peter Lugar's. This iconic steak house is worth visiting. Although it is a bit noisy, pricey and quite busy, this is the place to splurge on an excellent meal. If you don't like waiting long (like me), I would try to get an early dinner reservation, around 4pm.

Great city view, many different food vendors, famous Red Hook lobster rolls, places to sit and relax. It is a favorite food market for locals and tourists.

Greenpoint is next to Williamsburg, another hip area which has gone through a real estate building boom. There are some great neighborhood shops to look around and a scenic waterfront. You can walk through McCarren Park to Greenpoint or take the G train.
