his is a short drive by car (about 10 min), but worthwhile to visit. It’s a little up-hill so you’ll have spectacular view over the valley. Most food comes from their own farm, so you’ll find beau- tiful regional dishes. We never leave Neukirchen without having had dinner at the Friedburg. Our favorite dish is the steak tartar.
Gasthof Friedburg & Bauernhof Oberscheffau
96/1 Scheffauhis is a short drive by car (about 10 min), but worthwhile to visit. It’s a little up-hill so you’ll have spectacular view over the valley. Most food comes from their own farm, so you’ll find beau- tiful regional dishes. We never leave Neukirchen without having had dinner at the Friedburg. Our favorite dish is the steak tartar.

Best call for a reservation. This restaurant is half way up the mountain (if there is enough snow you can also get here by skies). You can walk from the house but it’s quite a climb up. If you call them ahead of time they are glad to pick you up with a mini van for a small fee.
