Forget what you read in the guidbook! This is the best place for smørrebrød (open sandwich) in Copenhagen. It's only open during weekdays and it closes early (2 pm) but it's definitely worth it

You probably already read about Christiania. It's a beautiful a diverse place. Be sure to go down to the lake a take a walk around to see all the self-made houses. It's a must see in Copenhagen!

The area around the central station is a bit dodgy but if you walk 300 meters up Istedgade it turns in to a cool and trendy shopping street with restaurants, bars and all kinds of different shops

This is the newest walking/biking bridge in Copenhagen. It opened on July 7th. 2016. It connects the central of Copenhagen with Christianshavn. If you are going to Christiania, Papirøen or Christianshavn in general this is the best and most beautiful route.

If the weather is good this is a very cool place to hang out. The bar is located in one of the lesser known squares in Copenhagen, so you'll probably be the only tourists here. The new royal library is worth a visit. It's an architectural gem and it's free to go inside a have a look around. Many students sit in the big and old halls and study. There's also a coffee shop. Behind the library away from the water there's an old and really nice garden open for the public.

A comittee decides which shops are allowed to open on this street. In order to get the approval the concept of your shop has to be unique. This means that you only find hip and authentic shops here. It's well worth a visit.
