Tandem is an easy 5 minute walk down the hill from my house. They have awesome coffee and a few pastries but not a huge selection of food. Just beyond that, Maine Coffee Roasters has bagels and other breakfast pastries!

Parks & Nature

This is a nice, paved trail along the water. Great for biking, jogging, roller-blading, etc. If you'd like to make it a longer route, it connects to Back Back to add another 4ish miles. You'll also pass by East End Beach where you can rent kayaks. Just above the trail is the Eastern Promenade Park which is lovely for reading on a blanket in the sun, overlooking all of Casco Bay. There are also tennis and basketball courts if you're interested!

Pineland Farms has miles and miles of beautiful running, biking, and walking trails. There's a great market and lunch cafe that sells local produce, dairy, and meat right off of the farm! It's a bit of a drive (20-25 minutes northwest from Portland), but a nice place to check out if you're trying to spend time outside.

Sightseeing

There are a handful of beautiful islands off of Portland that are worth checking out. The Casco Bay Line Ferries go to all of them! Peaks Island is the most populated and you can rent bikes or golf carts to explore the island. There are a few restaurants there as well.
