Food Scene
Whit's unique menu changes daily according to the locally caught (sometimes by Whit himself) fish and local vegetables grown at Edgemere Farm (a biodynamic farm located in the Edgemere neighborhood of the Rockaway's). His brick oven pizza menu has a range of classics to creative recipes. I love the prosciutto and mushroom pizza and I have tasted a bite of the steak and it was amazing (although I can't afford it myself). Whit's is also open later than some places although you may show up during the day sometime to see a closed door with an "out fishing" sign posted!

Party on the boardwalk picnic tables with craft beer and burgers. I highly recommend just the regular ol' cheeseburger. Expect live music on weekends.

Expect a locals only crowd here! This is your classic fried fish basket, burgers, colorful cocktails, and pop music place! Seating right over the water, with a beautiful view of the sunset and bridges!

This gives you the excuse to go explore Breezy Point! Kennedy's is a dress-up-style place with your classic "Italian/American" cuisine. Seafood linguini, oysters on the half shell, steaks, specials, chocolate mousse. I love going there for the view of the sunset on the beach.

The surf club started out as a tiny hole-in-the-wall bar for pretty much only surfers to have a refuge after being out on the water to go hang out and drink beer. Now they have expanded and built it out with plenty of outdoor seating, a taco truck, formerly of Rockaway Taco, a movie projector, and live music. The bar stays open late and the vibes are chill.

This is just the beach I like to go to because it is SO quiet but has a nice park. You may be some of a handful of people compared to the "uptown" beaches.
