The pastry is magnificent, the key lime pie is great, pancakes are big and fluffy, and they make the best corned beef around. Get there early it gets busy, don't be scared to stand in line they move people in and out pretty fast and it is worth the wait.

Tucked back behind the strip near the landing, this little food truck makes and excellent breakfast for those on the run, cute place to sit and eat overlooking the Santa Rosa Sound. Hash Brown casserole is pretty hard to resist.

Being the wife of a Kama’aina, the Hawaiian food is very good. Especially the Kalua pig. Good place to stop and sit in teh shade and have some island food.

Come prepared with a good float and a dive flag and paddle out to the artificial reef. You can see sea turtle, array of fish, and if you spearfish you might catch supper. Make sure you obey the laws and never dive without a partner.

Go Crabbing for blue crabs after dark, flash light and net and they are all over the bay.

Go Shelling down the beach in the early morning, don't forget to look for sea turtles nesting in the dunes.
Plan a boat trip to Crab Island, if the water is right its like sanding in the Caribbean.
Bring your boogie board for the big surf days.

There is parking and washdown in the driveway, and a shallow boat ramp at the end of the street on brooks and Walkedge drive. If you need a deep water boat ramp go across the bridge to Ross Marler Park ( AKA: Chicken bone park)

Shallow beach in the Neighborhood
There are two neighborhood beaches. They are really shallow and good for letting the little kids play in the water and maybe see a hermit crab. One is at the south end of Bay drive ( very little parking) the other is tiny park at the south end of Hood, off of Brooks.
