Ok, you gotta give this a try. On Saturday evenings between Memorial Day and Labor Day the Hatteras Fire Department hosts a fish fry fundraiser at 5pm. We guarantee you will not leave hungry. Line starts forming early so try to get there around 4:30 if you want to have your pick of deserts.
