First gothic cathedral built in the world, Sens cathedral served as a model for Notre Dame de Paris. In summer time, there is a son et lumière show every evening (pass sanitaire required). Worth a visit when you come over, as Sens is also a lovely medieval city, with great walks along the river Yonne, magnificent buildings, from medieval to Art Nouveau.

Provins, 30km away from Sergines is a must visit if you have a day to spare. A UNESCO historical city, it is beautifully preserved. excellent to visit with the family, as there are various shows (Les Aigles, medieval plays with horses, a famous Fête médiévale every June, and excellent restaurants). You will find the usual shops in the lower part, the medieval city is in the upper part, reached easily by car or on foot. There is a huge car park just at the entrance to the main gate, next to the tourism office, with all amenities. Enjoy!
