Food scene

Clear Lake is a small Brewery about 20 minutes drive from the cottage. There craft beer is great, and there's pretty good food there too. We always order the pizza!! There's a huge playground for the kids and in good weather months, and outdoor patio area with live music.

Sightseeing

Hiking and biking by day and star gazing by night. The Barrens is a must visit. It's a 10 minute drive from Piper's Landing. This is a dedicated dark sky area so the views at night are amazing.

This is about a 50 minute drive but it's worth it. The drive itself is beautiful. The town has all kinds of cool shops, surf shops/antiques/muskoka wear etc. Hard to go wrong with any restaurant in town but we like to get breakfast sandwiches at York & Mason. Grab a sandwich and then walk across the road to see the boats move through the locks. In good summer months there are pop up shops set up on the waterfront
