All of The *Original* Waffle Shop locations are excellent. They are the go-to place for breakfast and lunch in State College. Food is always excellent and always fast. Don't be deterred by a long line extending out the door and around the corner of the building. Seriously, the line moves quickly. It won't be long until you're seated and it's definitely worth the wait. The particular location shown in the photo (Original Waffle Shop North) is a 12' walk down the hill from my place. Or you can walk through the quiet residential neighborhood behind my house. After breakfast, you can take a leisurely walk to the Arboretum using the paved bike/footpath that's starts only a few hundred yards from the Waffle Shop (head Northeast from the Waffle Shop, you'll pass a Toyota dealership on your right). It's a pleasant 25'-30' walk to the Arboretum through fields & trees. The Arboretum, of course, adjoins all of the fields where the tailgating, camping, and football action is.
