You can't come to Seattle and not visit Pike Place! They have beautiful flowers year round, fresh fish, live music, and lots of vendors. If you want to have a fish thrown over your head, just purchase any fish from the Pike Place Fish Market.

This is the original Starbucks location. If you are wanting to make a purchase from them and take pictures inside, I highly recommend arriving when they first open

Local brewery within walking distance. Great beer with no need to call an Uber. They recently started hosting Beer and Board Game nights on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6pm-9pm

Childcare
Children are AMAZING, but as a teacher I've yet to meet any couple that doesn't want the occasional childless date night, hike, or day of relaxation. These are my recommendations for safe and fun childcare!
If you are traveling with children between the ages of 2.5 and 12 then this place is great! It's a nearby licensed daycare that charges $9.50/hr for the first child and $5.25/hr for siblings. If you are already registered with a KidsPark in another state you can drop in anytime. If you're not, you'll just need to register online first and make sure to have vaccination dates handy (doctor verification is not needed). They're open until 10pm M-Th, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Friday's and Saturdays also include a free pizza dinner for the kids!

Groceries
Guests that want to take advantage of our kitchen may be as dismayed as I was when I first moved to the area that there are no Super Walmarts of Krogers in the area! Here are the places we usually shop
The store is close enough to walk to, the staff is friendly, and the produce is always great. The prices are a little on the higher end though, especially if you're looking for packaged foods or alcohol. If you choose to shop there, make sure to take advantage of some of the canvas bags in the pantry (open the door on the right side), as they do charge a small fee for their bags.

The prices are a little on the higher end though, especially if you're looking for packaged foods or alcohol. Dog Park
Our fenced in back yard is great, but we know doggies love to make new playmates! These are our favorite dog parks in the area
The BEST dog park ever! Complete with a large field, trails, beach front, and a designated small/shy dog area. Our dogs always have a blast when we take them here, and they love when we make a stop by the Seattle Barkery Treat Truck on our way out. (I know the link is to the regular park, for some reason I couldn't get the Off-Leash park link to work. They are in the same area)
