Food Scene
The food is basic and totally yummy and seating is also basic (trestle tables and chairs). The food is entirely vegetarian (Indian). The location is phenomenal, right on the Swan but primarily because of their philosophy. They don't charge anything, you pay what you think it's worth and what you can afford so if you're down on your luck, you can eat for free.

Does an excellent buffet breakfast, good food and has a good choice of beers and wines. It's also on the Mindarie Marina - you may even see dolphins

Unfortunately, no buses run to or from this station but it has a large car park and taxis can be booked. It's an excellent service to Perth, Fremantle and you can even get to Mandurah in around 2 hours without changing trains).

Unfortunately, no buses run to or from this station but it has a large car park and taxis can be booked. It's an excellent service to Perth, Fremantle and you can even get to Mandurah in around 2 hours without changing trains).
Buses do run between Iluka and Joondalup and Lakeside shopping centre is there (it's the same line as Currambine)

It's safe (lifeguards on duty) and beautiful
Yellagonga Regional Park
A lovely walk through country around a large lake.
Quinns Rocks
It's dramatic (no life guards)
Burns Beach
It's a nice walk and there's a small park and cafe.
Rottnest Island
If only to see the Quokas (ferry ride - can be choppy)
