Coffee/Bakery
The coffee is good and the bakery items are definitely worth looking at if not eating. The neighborhood has cute old houses and the Elisabet Ney museum is walking distance.

Delicious beers! My favorites are the Pilz, Big Bark, Kleins (when it is on tap) and the IPA's are usually pretty good. They have a food truck at the place with some German like foods and a lot of outdoor area to sit outside.

There is a map on the fridge that you can take of the greenbelt with the hiking access, climbing areas and swimming areas listed.
This trail is beautiful! Just park in front of Spec's and walk a bit to the trail head. One of my favorites and they are still working on extending the trail even further.

The water is colder than you'd like, but this is an Austin landmark and is fed by the springs. Definitely worth a visit.

Zilker Park has trails, a play area, a spring fed pool, a tiny train for the kids, bike/running paths, kite festivals, music festivals and probably a lot more I'm forgetting. It is also pretty close to Tarrytown.

If you have extra time and want to be outside and surrounded by flowers, this place is worth a stop. There is another garden over by Barton Springs pool with statues.
