Sightseeing
It is a great drive to Port Chalmers and the shops. Then the iconic Careys Bay pub on the way for a tasty lunch or dinner. The road to Aramoana is beautiful and scenic. Aramoana township is peaceful and quirky with 2 stunning beaches to walk or swim. You can walk the mole and see the seals and occasionally the penquins. The famous albatross colony is visible from the heads and if you are lucky enough that a cruise ship will leave as you are there you will get very up close and personal with it as it departs or enters the mouth of the harbour.
