French patisserie. They prepare their cakes and pastries here every day. Amazing selection of breads. Really good quiches and sandwiches. Quiches come out at 11, be there then and you'll never want to eat a quiche anywhere else. Be there by 2pm and they're all gone.

Brighton's National Park. You can get to it by bus (number 77 from the Clock Tower, a five minutes walk from our apartment, or by car, a 20 minutes drive. There's a pub serving country-style food which is not always great but the views from it are stunning. You can practice paragliding or watch other people do it. You can go for nature walks, bird watch or build stick homes for the fairies, if that's more your thing.
