Arts & Culture

Make sure to see Saint Louis, literally. This huge statue of King Louie overlooks Art Hill and the fountains, in front of one of the best art museums in the country, that also happens to be free.

The crazy robot across the street? That's Joe's Cafe, Sculpture Garden, and Art Gallery—the creations of City Museum co-founder Bill Christman. He also happened to help curate our upstairs Airbnb's. If it's a Thursday night, see if there is a music show there, it will be an unforgettable experience. Usually Thursday nights, usually $10 at the door and bring your own food and drink.

Getting Around

The closest Metrolink (light rail) stop to our place. 5 min walk. This is the red line, that connects to Lambert Airport, and also the Amtrak/Greyhound station downtown. Metrolink is not expansive, but it is great for getting around the Central Corridor (Clayton, U-City/Loop/Wash U, Central West End/Med Center, Midtown/SLU, Downtown). You can bring bikes on all buses and Metrolinks in STL.
