The Five Spot is one of the four Chow Foods reataurants in Seattle, including Endolyne Joe's in West Seattle, The Hi Life in Ballard and TNT Taqueria in Wallingford. They are all great and the owners are good people and good citizens. While at the Five Spot do yourself a favor and have the Honey Stung Fried Chicken. It is enough for two and DE Licious!

Maneki is a Japanese Restaurant that has been operating in Seattle for over 100 years. They have a James Beard award as an American Classic. It is fantastic so go, but make a reservation unless you want to eat at the bar.

They have transcended their dive bar beginnings without giving up their soul. nice neighborhood tavern but more importantly the best (non-fast food-see Dick's Drive In) burger in Seattle. The Space Needle is there (skip the restaurant and just go to the observation deck if you want the view), The Seattle Children's Museum, The Seattle Science Center, MoPop (the Museum of Popular Culture, formerly known as the Experience Music Project), Book It theater, and lots of festivals and fairs. Fun, fun, fun.
