I actually think this place is horrible but am still glad it's there (12-min walk). For those who don't know, Kmart = a crappy version of Walmart. So you can find (cheap) clothes, food, hardware, etc.

This is the closest Whole Foods, a 10-15 min walk. It's got plenty of space by NYC standards & (like all Whole Foods) has higher quality ingredients. This is where I do most of my grocery shopping.

This Whole Foods is a bit farther away, but you can grab the M14A bus right outside (headed in Lower East Side/Abington Sq direction), and it will let you off at 6th St/Ave A, 2 min from my apartment.

Eco-friendly cleaners downstairs in the same building as the apt. They do both dry cleaning and wash & fold. I go there bc it's so convenient & the staff are great--a bit more expensive but worth it.
