Sutro Baths is a vista point looking out on the ocean. Big parking lot with visitors' center and public restrooms. You can walk along the ruins of the Sutro Baths--a huge swimming pavilion from the 1800s. Nearby is the Cliff House, a pricey restaurant with gorgeous views, and Louis' a cafe with good food and the same gorgeous views. Also nearby is Land's End, a woodsy area with many hiking trails and beautiful views.

Nearby is the Cliff House, a pricey restaurant with gorgeous views, and Louis' a cafe with good food and the same gorgeous views. Also nearby is Land's End, a woodsy area with many hiking trails and beautiful views.
Place to watch and learn about the sea lions that hang out at the piers. Free. It's at Pier 39, which is pretty touristy and trashy but sometimes has some good attractions. Nearby you can get crab in season at a number of places along Jefferson Street.
