Biggest indie coffee shop in the area. Big windows so you can watch the world go by while you work on your laptop. They have real espresso as you would expect.

Maybe the nicest restaurant near by in terms of interior space and the pizza's are very good and authentic but too expensive.

Not that close but I go out of my way to go to this place for the best home style latin comfort food at very reasonable prices, welcoming atmosphere and a great happy hour as well.

Nice little park with big old trees and a very short walk from the apartment. This is as far east as you would want to go, the area is not so nice just one block beyond that.
