Barton Springs Pool is an icon. Go for a very cold swim in the spring-fed pool. You can also take dogs to "Barking Springs" just outside the gate, where there is no entry fee.

ABP has tons of climbing walls, but they also have yoga and a full gym for weightlifting. And a co-working space. This is a great place to bring the dog, get some work done, do some climbing and make friends.

Combination park, lakeshore, jogging trail, the hike and bike trail stretches around Lady Bird Lake for miles. It's a great place to jog, walk, take the dog, rent a paddle board, and get a taste of central Austin.

Austin is serious about it's green spaces and the green belt stretches for miles, with multiple trail-head entrances. It took me a bit to figure out how to access it, until I found this guide. https://austinot.com/austin-greenbelt-guide Dogs welcome. Most people let them off leash, although it's not technically allowed and can carry a fine. Consider bringing a swim suit if you want to enjoy any of the streams along the trail.
