Lake Louise and Ski ● The most visited resort throughout the year in Banff National Park, roughly 3 hours drive from Calgary. You will experience the most scenery drive to Banff and Lake Louise. Summer is the busiest season to visit Lake Louise where you can see the natural color of the lake and take a short hike near the lake. Ice Magic, the world class-carving event hosted on the frozen lake is the most popular to see in the Winter season. It runs for about 2 weeks at the end of January every year. Starting this summer, a pass would be required for accessing Nakiska area, but still an exciting place to go.

There are numerous activities you can explore during the weeks starting from a free pan cake breakfast, mini donut snacks, to food trucks with variety of taste of food, to a large parade, series of rodeos, and evening shows, to live concert, animal shows, kids activities, families fun and more. You can’t miss out the excitement of such a big celebration in Summer, the most beautiful and pleasant season in Calgary.
