If you headed uptown this is a great traditional poor boy place. Seafood, roast beef and lunch specials. Ask for Marvin and tell him you staying on top the bakery, conversation is free.

A nearby 24 hour restaurant and bar. Not a dive, but not fine dining either. I do take my kids here sometimes, especially on Monday for red beans and rice

Almost every Sunday morning I walk down here for coffee and donuts. If you see an open table grab it, I don't know why people stand in line.

A trip to the zoo is always fun. Also behind the zoo is a nice park in the riverbend. You can catch the street car there.
