“The market is the daily central hub of San Pedro. In the morning (early is better), it's full of Mayans from all over selling fruit, vegetables, fresh tamales, chuchitas, meat, and a smattering of household goods. In the late afternoon, it changes into a social hub with "pollo y papas" sold out of street carts and basketball games in the central plaza. This is where festivals, processions and cultural events take place. If you want to see "the real San Pedro", then the market is a must. ”

“Chile's Latina restaurant/ bar is located right next to the port. They offer a variety of good quality food and has the best cocktails in San Pedro (try the mojito). Its a good chill out spot in the day, it has a little dock you can jump off to swim in the lake. They also have free Salsa lessons Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights!”
