Mel, greeted us once we arrived. He showed us around. Very welcoming. He took us out in his boat for a tour of the place. Guided us with fishing. Had a much needed break from the city. Enjoyed it very much, fishing, swimming, eating and just relaxing. The view is stunning. A must see place.

We had a wonderful long weekend at the lake house. Tia was extremely responsive and helpful with all of our questions. The house was exactly like it says in the description: it was spatious, clean, well equipped and the views to the lake were absolutely gorgeous. Tia provided us with a lot of useful information in advance, and everyone who we met in Lyndhurst town was extremely lovely. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful home and property on Lyndhurst Lake. Had an amazing, relaxing time during my stay, and Tia was very accommodating and thoughtful! I also enjoyed biking around the quiet country roads, and visiting the local antique and other shops (short walk up the street), and the local beach & park was a short 5 min drive away - perfect for kids! I highly recommend staying at the Lyndhurst Lake House and will likely visit again myself!

The cabin was delightful. Charming, comfortable and it had everything we needed. It is located on a beautiful piece of property which is great for walks or a hike up a mountain for a picnic lunch. Paul and Maggie were easy to communicate with, answering messages and calls quickly. Easy check in and out. We will definitely book this cabin again soon! :)

This place is awesome, we loved it, it was a heavenly experience, just like it was posted. Cottage is really neat & clean, Nothing negative at all. I can go on & on. Mel had organised Kay on standby, cos of his personal reasons, even though he was busy he used to respond to us. Thank you very much Mel, it was wonderful staying at Redfish Cottage. We shall definitely come back again.

The host was helpful prior to arrival. The booking was made shortly before the stay and Mel was very accommodating to that extent. We were able to stay in touch throughout the booking process. I was provided with good directions to the cottage. Since we were arriving late, the host left the light on and the cottage unlocked. The neighborhood is very nice and the cottage has a beautiful view of the lake. We were provided with our own barbecue which we never ended up using. The cottage is close to parks and other natural attractions. It is also close to grocery stores and gas stations. The cottage itself was poorly maintained. It was very dirty in places and several items of furniture were covered in dust. 2 elements on the stove were not working. The oven wasn't working either although our cottage had a toaster oven. We tried baking a pie in it and sadly that didn't turn out so well. We brought our own linens and towels per the host's direction however, we expected that the cottage would be stocked with some paper towel, toilet paper and other minor consumables. We weren't advised to bring our own and as a result, upon arrival, we noticed that we didn't have any toilet paper. If it were anything but toilet paper, it would be fine however, not being able to use the bathroom at night was clearly inconvenient - especially for the women in the group. I messaged Mel and he provided us with 1 roll the following morning. This would clearly be insufficient but regardless, we went and purchased our own. When we observed Mel stocking the other cottages we noticed that in fact, he had more supplies so I'm not exactly sure what went wrong in the planning process. Ideally, when you expect to be paid for a cottage, you should stock the cottage with the necessities you advertise. This was not the case. Another point about misleading advertising are the pictures on Airbnb. We were not aware of the actual condition of the cottage we rented. It looks different from the pictures on Airbnb and significantly so for some areas, i.e. the kitchen. On our first morning at the cottage, the owner advises us that he was going fishing but soon after he left, we realized that we weren't given a key to the cottage. So, we had one roll of toilet paper and so, clearly needed to go to a store. But, we had to leave the cottage unlocked. This is fine in the country I guess but we were still uncomfortable with the idea. Overall, the trip was successful for a last minute booking but I don't really have any kind words to say about the mismanagement of this booking. Essentials like a key to the cottage and toilet paper should be considered before renting out a cottage. We paid full price and expected full service. We didn't get what we paid for.

We absolutely loved our time at Michaels Lyndhurst Lake home. We are already talking about booking again next year! The town, with a few shops and food, was a quick walk away. The lake was small and quiet. Perfect for the children to swim, canoe and kayak around. The house was the perfect size for our two families with plenty of space for everyone. We were pleasantly surprised by the Foosball table, the dart board and the badminton net for us to enjoy- and we did! Michael was available if we needed him and responded quickly to messages. Mein Freund und ich verbrachten das Wochenende dort zu entspannen. Wir haben es geliebt. Der Platz ist super schön und sehr sauber. Schöne Aussicht aus dem Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer dauerte. Der Wirt hat uns wie zu Hause fühlen und wir sind sehr nett. Sie reagierten sehr schnell auf jede Email, die wir ihnen geschickt.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit als Joan und John haben einen schönen Platz mit all den Komfort von zu Hause und der Blick auf den See war erstaunlich. Joan war so hilfsbereit zu jeder Zeit hatten wir eine Frage. Sie ging die extra Meile, um unseren Komfort durch die Bereitstellung aller notwendigen Geräte und Gadgets in der Küche und extra WC Lotionen und liefert als wir brauchten zu gewährleisten. Sie haben das bequemste Bett! Wir würden nicht zögern empfehlen, ihre Heimat als eine wunderbare Erfahrung Haus.

John und Lake House Erfahrung Joan erfüllt alle unsere Bedürfnisse und übertraf alle unsere Erwartungen. Es hatte allen Komfort wie zu Hause, aber auch erlaubt, einen Urlaub zu fühlen. Das Haus selbst war schön, sauber und gepflegt. Die Küche hat alles was man von Kochutensilien zu benötigen, um Gewürze und Extras. Wir haben großen Nutzen aus der Küche und bereitet hausgemachte Mahlzeiten täglich. Wir genossen auch die Grill und große Außenterrasse Wohnfläche Das Haus am See zu bieten hat. Nicht nur aus dem Fuß aus Deck haben Sie einen wunderschönen Blick auf den See, aber von innen kann man auch in der Lage, schauen und genießen die schöne Aussicht. Das Bad und die Dusche waren sehr sauber und angenehm zu bedienen. Nachdem im Sommer, wenn die Temperaturen blieben waren sehr warm und feucht, ist der Lake House voll klimatisiert, so dass es bequem zu bleiben in. Ich würde dieses Hotel jedem der Suche nach einem schönen Ort zu bleiben empfehlen, ermöglicht eine große Innen-und Außen dass Wohnräume. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen und würden auf jeden Fall in der Zukunft zurückkehren. Dieser Ort ist nicht wie jedes andere Landhaus, und wird Ihre Erwartungen übertreffen! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sobald meine Frau und ich durch die Tür des Hauses ging, wollten wir, dass wir einen längeren Aufenthalt gebucht hatten. (Wir hatten es für drei Nächte über den Labour Day Weekend). Das Haus ist makellos und wunderschön dekoriert und eingerichtet. Der Blick auf den See ist wunderbar. Ich machte ein Foto des Sonnenuntergangs in der ersten Nacht. Die Zimmern sind zu zahlreich zu erwähnen. Wer hier übernachten werden nicht enttäuscht sein. Leider hatten wir nicht das Vergnügen, John, als er weg war arbeiten, aber Joan hat einen tollen Job begrüßte uns und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Ich kann nicht aufhören zu schwärmen den paar Tagen mein 13 Jahre alter Sohn und ich an die Kinderferienhaus in der Nähe von Lyndhurst verbracht! So wollen wir nicht zu verlassen, und kann es nicht erwarten, zurück! Alles über das Ferienhaus ist neu, funktioniert perfekt und wird ausgewählt und in schönen Geschmack und Komfort eingerichtet. Wir waren in der oberen Etage, während Joan blieb in der unteren Ebene - völlig in Ordnung! Wir hatten viel Platz, so viel Privatsphäre, wie wir wollten, aber auch an Unternehmen bekam Joan, indem sie aus dem Dock zu schwimmen mit uns, und lud sie zu unserem kleinen Lagerfeuer in der Feuerstelle zu genießen. Es war im wahren Geist der B & B, wo Sie zu Ihrer Gastfamilie ein wenig, indem sie in ihrer Heimat kennen. John war nicht herum, während wir dort waren, aber Eli die Katze mehr als für den Verlust gemacht! Die Umgebung ist sehr schön - schöne Aussicht zu allen Stunden des Tages. Wir gingen zu Beginn des September mit coolish Tage und Nächte, die sehr knackig waren. Das Schwimmbad war toll und das Bootfahren noch besser! Gerade sitzen auf der Terrasse, Liegewiese oder Hängematte war wunderbar. Ich liebe es zu kochen, und die Küche ist gut für alles, was ich brauchte, ausgestattet. Joan fördert auch die Gäste zu ihrer Heftklammern verwenden, so war ich in der Lage, einen Kuchen mit meinen überreifen Pflaumen ohne eine Wanderung zu einem Geschäft zu backen. Es ist ein großer Bio-Markt in der Nähe mit Obst, Gemüse, und nachhaltig bewirtschaftet Fleisch und Käse, darunter auch einige recht exotische Entscheidungen wie Elche, Wildschweine und Wasserbüffel! Nächstes Mal werde ich nicht meine eigenen mitbringen! Habe ich erwähnt, die kleine Feuerstelle? Nichts besser als sitzen um ein Feuer auf einer kühlen Nacht. Wir sammelten Holz aus den Pinsel Pfähle in der Nähe. Die Sterne gibt es unglaublich - man die Milchstraße sehen konnte, und alle Konstellationen wie Juwelen auf Samt ausgelegt. Joan sagt der Laufen und Skifahren im Winter sind auch super. Am Morgen, der Nebel auf dem See und fordert der Seetaucher und Spechte waren erstaunlich. Wir haben es wirklich geliebt - können Sie sagen?

Dies ist ein schönes Haus und mein Mann und 2 Jahre alten Sohn und ich genossen unseren 3-tägigen Aufenthalt dort. Joan ist die süßeste Dame und war so groß, vor unserem Besuch Antwort auf alle meine Fragen. Ich habe bereits diesen Ort, um ein paar Freunden empfohlen. Das einzige, was nicht so toll war, dass man nicht richtig schwimmen kann aus dem Dock und müssen ein Ruderboot etwa 20 Meter bis zu einem Dock wegen der großen Menge der Algen von der Küste zu nehmen. Wir wurden darauf aufmerksam gemacht und es hat nicht einen negativen Einfluss auf unseren Besuch haben. Schönes Paar und ein schönes Zuhause.

Je ne peux pas dire assez sur cette maison. Les photos ne lui rendent pas justice. Il est comme quelque chose d'un magazine. Il a tout ce dont vous avez besoin et plus encore. Les lits sont très confortables aussi. La LCBO et épicerie sont juste quelques portes vers le bas. Michael est incroyablement gentil et répond instantanément en cas de besoin. The Kingsgate Lakehouse was a dream. We were already sold by the photos Michael provided, but the property was even more beautiful in person! The house is decorated beautifully and was the perfect place for a reunion with a group of old friends. Delta is a very sleepy little town in February, but we loved how quiet and peaceful everything was. Michael stayed in touch with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was fully equipped with everything we could think of and then some! The beds were very comfortable and we were all incredibly well rested by the end of our stay. Michael also let us stay well past the check-out time on our last day, which was much appreciated since none of us were quite ready to leave such a perfect little place. Looking forward to our next reunion at Kingsgate and to checking out Michael's other properties in the future. Thanks again!

Michael was a very helpful and friendly host. We had a seamless check-in/check-out process, he was very easy to communicate with, and he promptly answered any questions we had. The main house was even nicer than the pictures. The layout was great for a large group, the bedrooms were a great size, the kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were super comfortable, the whole place was extremely clean and well-kept, and the hot tub was clean, and the waterfront dock was a beautiful way to start the day and end the evening. The town of Delta was very small and quiet. We didn't do much by ways of exploring, as we primarily stayed and hung out in/around the house. We were a total of 12 ppl (with 3 children/infants) and the space was perfect. The guest house was a very convenient and lovely added bonus. All-in-all, we had a lovely stay and would recommend Michael's place for any groups or families. Thanks again, Michael!

Michael and the lake house exceeded our expectations. A group of 4 Moms and our babies traveled to the lake house for a mini vacation and it could not have been more perfect! Michael was more than accommodating and was always quick to respond to any of my requests or questions, and the photos do not do this house justice - it is IMMACULATE! It is very tastefully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. I hope to come back again soon!

This house is so charming. The decor is fantastic - very well thought out. The kitchen is a dream to cook in - it's very well stocked with appliances and tools that will make cooking very easy. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds, hot tub and fire pit. A great place to spend a weekend away without feeling too remote.

Aaron was an exceptional host. His cottage is even better in person than in the pictures - wonderfully positioned on the lot and the interior is either new or completely updated; The spot is one of semi-seclusion - neighbours are within earshot and visible through a fence-line of trees, but there was plenty of privacy. The lake was beautiful - the lake seemed mostly shallow so there is some vegetation - perhaps geared more to fishing then swimming, although we rented Aaron's canoe and went swimming of a nearby island that had some clearer shores. Overall we had a great time. Aaron sought to all our needs - and this place is a gem in a lovely part of Ontario - we would come back again.

We loved checking in to our cottage and being surprised at the thoughtful gift of maple syrup that Aaron left us. It was delicious and so appreciated!

Although I did not meet Aaron, he kept in immediate contact prior to and during my stay. The cottage is EXACTLY as the photos show and is amazing! It is quiet, peaceful and has all that you need. I travelled with my 6 yo and across the street (3 min drive) was lower Beverly park which we had access to for $5/day. It had a nice, small beach, food/activities for Canada Day and 5 play structures!!! It was the prefect get away from all perspectives. I look forward to visiting again! Thank you, Aaron!

Our stay at Aaron's cottage was great. It is exactly as described in the info. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we could have needed and more. The view of the water and sunset was perfect. The water was weedy and not really meant for swimming, however, it was perfect for fishing. There was a very nice beach about 5 mins away that we went to that was very clean. Overall we had a great experience.

Magnificent location with amazing view on Charleston lake. The cottage is very nice, the 2 lofts have plenty of light and are very clean. The 4 bedrooms are good size and beds are very comfortable. You can find all the utilities you need for the kitchen and barbecue. Perfect place for fishing, boating, water skiing, enjoy the nature or whatever you want to do for cleaning your mind and relaxing. Very quiet and private, even if it’s by the lake, the noise coming from the boats is absorbed by the vegetation. Being mid distance both from Montreal and Toronto, it was the perfect place for us coming from Montreal and our friends coming from Toronto, and we are looking forward to going again, for another long week-end. Thank you Chris for everything.

Je ne connaissais pas la région, mais Greg a donné de bons indications sur la façon de trouver la propriété et comment obtenir au parc provincial Charleston où il y a des sentiers de randonnée et une belle plage de kid-friendly. L'emplacement de la propriété est très calme et offre une vue imprenable sur le lac. La propriété est très bien équipé et nous étions à l'aise pendant notre séjour d'une semaine. J'y retournerais sans hésiter :)

Our experience staying at 29 acre retreat was spectacular ! This location is remote but for us that only increased the appeal. We loved the drive in increasing in seclusion and once we reached the cottage we felt like we were home. Greg and Alison were perfect hosts providing all things required for a relaxing vacation. It is very evident that they have worked very hard to make the property not only appealing but comforting and a home. The deck was my absolute favourite place. We sat for endless hours there eating meals, drinking wine (lol) and just enjoying the view. For those staying a few day or a longer stay like we had you will find this location and property a true gem. We would recommend this rental to anyone !

Greg was very accommodating, helpful and responsive to questions. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The location on Webster Bay was very convenient for the fishing trip, and the water was plenty deep for docking my boat. I caught my biggest fish just down the bay from the cottage.

The place was exactly what we expected by the description. It was very private, quiet and relaxing. There was lots of water stuff to do. The view is fantastic.

This cottage was amazing, it was well kept, Greg and Alison made it feel so homely , has a fireplace to get some smores going as well as an amazing view. All in all will recommend and will be back for sure.

This is a well-kept, secluded retreat 10 minutes away from quaint little Athens and located on Charleston Lake, with a long private driveway (great for walks!) stunning view and everything you need for a cozy cottage vacation. Greg's place exceeded all expectations and we can't wait to stay here again. Be prepared for bugs, but that's nature for you. :)
